Bill Pianki, Pastor

Bill is a US Army Airborne Ranger Major (Retired) who moved to French Settlement with his wife, Janice, in 2008.  They have two grown children and three grandchildren.  Bill served as a youth minister for over 30 years and Janice taught Junior High School for over 30 years.

Bill is an Ordained Deacon, and was licensed to preach by First Baptist DeRidder, and ordained by Colyell Baptist Church.  Bill has held numerous offices in the Louisiana Baptist Convention and Eastern Louisiana Association including LBC Sunday School Consultant, YEC Planning Team, and President of the Board for Camp Living Waters.

Bill has a passion to see people come to Christ and grow in their faith.  Bill and Janice have a passion for missions and have led numerous mission trips in the US and Honduras.  Feel free to contact Bill if there is anything he can help you with.

James Daniels, Youth Director

 James Daniels was born in Zachary, Louisiana, where he attended First Baptist Church of Zachary. There his parents taught Sunday School and considered missions work in South Korea before they felt the Lord leading them to stay in Zachary. James became a follower of Christ as a senior in High School in December of 1996. In the fall of 1997, he surrendered to the call of ministry ‎God placed in his life and has been a licensed minister of the gospel since 1999. His work credentials include working as a tutor and mentor at Louisiana Children’s Home while attending the University of Louisiana at Monroe earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education in 2007. He has been teaching at Woodlawn High School for six years and leads The Fellowship of Christian Athletics (FCS) Club. In 2016, this club of high school students finished a $6,600 water-well project in Ezulwini, Swaziland, Africa, teaming up with Children’s Cup Ministry. Children’s Cup Ministry was established in 1991 by Jean and Dave Ohlerking to help provide food, clean water, medical care, and the Hope of Jesus to children in poverty stricken countries. James prides himself on his Baptist roots, but also enjoys teaming up with ministries of other denominations to further the cause of Christ. He has a passion for discipling students and of providing growth opportunities for them.

Virginia Hall, Nursery Director

Virginia was born in Port Vincent, Louisiana, and moved to French Settlement, Louisiana, in 1996. She was active in Gray’s Creek Baptist Church and became a Christian at the age of twelve. She married Cargle Hall in 1958 at Gray’s Creek Baptist Church. They have two daughters, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Her father helped to build the First Baptist Church in French Settlement as a mission. She and her husband moved their membership in 1960. She has taught Sunday School, Training Union, Bible School, and Children’s Church. She has been the Nursery Director for 35 years. Her fist love is teaching small children. Other hobbies are decorating and gardening. We would like to invite you to visit our Nursery, ages 0-3, and attend all Services.Summary

Rene Minor, Music Coordinator, Pianist

Music Coordinator is a new position in our church, and because of Renee's expertise and experience in music, we are glad to announce that she has been appointed to fill this position as of October 2, 2016. Rene will continue to serve as the church pianist.
